NSU remains ever-vigilant regarding your personal data and your NSU network (NSUnet) experience. Our latest upgrade seeks to protect not only NSU's services and network but also protect you as a valued NSU community member from viruses and security threats. Beginning October 9, 2006, NSU began utilizing the Cisco Clean Access Agent (CCAA). The CCAA is a way to keep your computer secure and up-to-date, while ensuring that your computer meets the requirements for accessing NSUnet. Therefore to continue connecting from off-campus, you will download and install CCAA software, at no charge. When connecting to the NSUnet, CCAA will ensure you that your operating system is up-to-date. CCAA also checks to see if your computer has CCAA-approved antivirus software, and, if not, allows you to download, for free, the latest Sophos antivirus software and provide continual virus-update subscriptions.
So, for as long as you're a NSU community member accessing the NSUnet from off-campus, you will have FREE, operating system update management, and top-of-the-line, Sophos antivirus protection.
