Security Considerations

Always log out.
Always log out when you finish your remote access session. Logging out is especially important when you are using a public computer such as in a library or Internet cafe. If you do not log out, someone who uses the computer next could access your files. Don't risk the security of your organization!

To Log Out
To end your remote access session, click the 'X' on the V P N Buttons icon in the toolbar. The Logout page appears, confirming that your session has been terminated.

Quitting the browser also logs out the session.

After you log out...
After logging out from a public computer, take the following measures to ensure the security of your information.

  • Delete all cookies.
  • Delete all files downloaded during the remote access session. These files are not removed automatically upon disconnect.
It is not necessary to clear your browser web cache after logging out, because pages downloaded during your session are not cached.
